I've been making the rounds since Sonic the Hedgehog X Godzilla was announced. Most recently, my in-house recording for IDW's new Creator X Creator podcast dropped. I'm in one-on-one conversation with the new ongoing Star Trek writer, Chris Cantwell, and we dig into the philosophical ramifications of our upcoming comics. This summer I'm teaming up with Jack Lawrence, Reggie Graham, and Ed Dukeshire for Sonic the Hedgehog's BIGGEST challenge yet! Godzilla is stomping its way to Station Square for a comic book crossover of massive proportions. Announced at the start of IGN Fan Fest 2026, Sonic the Hedgehog X Godzilla brings together Toho and Sega's most famous characters in a huge event miniseries from IDW Publishing.

My journey with Sonic X Godzilla began years ago in the middle of 2022, so it's honestly such a relief to be able to talk about this project now. I'm honored by the ecstatic fan reaction to our reveal and I can't wait to share more as we get closer to the first issue's release. That said, our IGN announcement includes a short interview that'll have to tide you over for the time being. For now, I'll let these amazing covers by Jack and Reggie, Mauro Fonseca, Min Ho Kim, Clayton Crain, Mico Suayan, Natalie Haines, and Miles Arq do the talking!

I was honored to have so many fantastic friends come out for our Secret Headquarters book launch party for Godzilla: Monster Island Summer Camp. Rosie Knight, Oliver Ono, Jodie Troutman, and I celebrated our new graphic novel with the legend Godzilla and tons of other cool people.

We also had the opportunity to exhibit at OC Zine Fest, which was a terrific experience. Anaheim really showed up and showed out for the event, and we look forward to being back there again in the future.

On top of that, we received some great news this week via ICv2 -- Godzilla: Monster Island Summer Camp is a bestseller! We landed at #14 on the August charts for graphic novels sold through comic shops.

Next up is Orange Public Library Comic Con this Saturday, September 14 from 12-4. And then, in two weeks, Rosie and I head off to reunite with Oliver and Chad (and Jodie!) in Ohio for a signing at Laughing Ogre's CXC booth on Sunday, September 29 from 2:30-5, followed by a signing at the Laughing Ogre shop on the evening of Wednesday, October 2.
