Here's some stuff I've been writing for Den of Geek, The Beat, and The Comics Courier

Wednesday, October 1st, 2025

Lately I've been working with a few of my favorite outlets, including my newest article, a historical recap and review of Albert Pyun's recently discovered director's cut of Captain America for The Beat.

Earlier this year I delved into one of my deepest passions for The Comics Courier, writing about the bizarre circumstances that led to Marvel's collaboration with the Florida Department of Citrus, resulting in the reimagining of Captain Citrus.

Two recent collaborations with Den of Geek produced a pair of bucket list interviews for me. I profiled the composers and creators of Avatar for the Avatar: The Last Airbender 20th Anniversary Special Edition magazine, made in collaboration with Nickelodeon for San Diego Comic-Con 2025.

And, finally, it's not something I wrote but I did an on-camera interview with Todd McFarlane at SDCC, digging into his comic book creation process (many Spawn comics are still made Marvel style!) and his publishing philosophy.

Just Announced: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Halloween Special

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025

I'm packing my bag and preparing to hop on a train to San Diego Comic-Con as I type this, thrilled to share the news that I've written a story for the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Halloween Special, out on Oct 22, 2025 from BOOM! Studios and Hasbro.

Also debuting today is my article for Den of Geek's SDCC 2025 special, Avatar: How Friendship Forged the Sound and Music of The Last Airbender. It was a great honor to interview the creators and composers behind this incredible show.

Barnes and Noble Godzilla author event in Los Angeles

On Saturday, January 27th at 2pm here in Los Angeles, I'll be joined by some of my great comics friends for a Godzilla author discussion and graphic novel signing hosted by Barnes & Noble at The Grove.

My brilliant wife Rosie Knight will moderate a panel featuring comic book creators James F. Wright, FerioWind, Mark Martinez, Johnny Parker II, and yours truly. We'll be discussing the creative process behind our Godzilla Rivals issues for IDW Publishing and our approach to crafting stories about the Big G.

Afterwards, at 3pm we'll have a signing with James, Ferio, and myself of the recently released Godzilla Rivals: Round Two TPB (and probably Rosie's Round One too!). If you're in the LA area, I hope to see you there.
